Hi-Control 18-6-8 + ME is a premium Japanese controlled-release fertilizer designed to provide stable nutrition for up to 100 days. Its balanced formula, enriched with essential micronutrients, promotes healthy root development, stronger growth, and steady energy without the risk of sudden nutrient spikes.
For caudex plants, Hi-Control helps support active growth, thicker caudex development, stronger branching, and healthier foliage during the growing season. The slow-release coating allows nutrients to be delivered gradually, making it especially suitable for sensitive caudiciform plants such as Pachypodium, Operculicarya, Stephania, Adenia, and Dioscorea.
18-6-8 + ME fertilizer is repackaged by us, KODEX, in our own packaging.
The specially designed bottle cap makes it easy to dose the fertilizer granules in a simple and controlled amount. It also helps keep the fertilizer dry and well preserved for long-term storage.
We also sell additional fertilizer pots.
These pots help you easily control the amount of fertilizer used and replace it once the fertilizer has lost its effect, without needing to change the plant’s soil.

HOW TO USE
For Caudex Plants
- Apply only during active growing season (spring / summer)
- Do not use on dormant plants
- Sprinkle fertilizer evenly around the edge of the pot
- Avoid direct contact with the caudex or roots
Recommended Amount
- Small pot (6–10 cm) → 2–3g
- Medium pot (10–15 cm) → 5–8g
- Large pot (15 cm+) → 10–20g
Reapplication
- Reapply every ~100 days
- In hot weather, nutrients may release faster
Watering
- Water thoroughly after application
- Use only with fast-draining soil mixes

Notes
- Reduce dosage for newly rooted or stressed plants
