Pachypodium 'Ebisu Daikoku' is one of the most celebrated Japanese hybrids, created by crossing Pachypodium brevicaule with Pachypodium densiflorum. This exceptional hybrid combines the finest characteristics of both parent species: the broad, sculptural caudex and compact form of brevicaule, together with the vigorous growth, abundant branching, and reliable flowering of densiflorum. The result is a plant that is not only more resilient and easier to cultivate than brevicaule, but also develops into a striking specimen with a beautifully swollen trunk, dense symmetrical spines, and brilliant yellow flowers.
The stems are covered in a unique smoky olive-green epidermis, giving the plant an unmistakable character unlike any other Pachypodium. This specimen can be enjoyed as a magnificent mature clump or divided into six medium-sized plants, offering excellent flexibility for collectors and growers alike.

SHIPPING & RETURNS
Plant may drop its leaves during shipping or in Sydney’s cooler months, especially from June to August. This is normal, as the plant is deciduous and can naturally enter dormancy during autumn and winter. New leaves will usually grow back once the weather becomes warmer and brighter.
After arrival, soak the plant in water or diluted HB101 / Seasol for 3–5 hours. Then keep it in shade for 1–2 days to recover and adapt gently.
For live plants, we ship them bareroot (roots only, without soil and pot). This helps make the shipping process smoother, faster, and safer, while also greatly reducing the risk of root rot during transit.
